In our home we love watching and listening to musicals.

Musicals /’myoo-zi-kulz/: movies and plays with singing and dancing

I grew up enjoying musicals and now I’m thrilled that my kids enjoy them as well. The messages and emotion are powerful!

My son has been listening to the music from the play “Newsies” a lot lately. There’s one line in one of the song called ‘Seize the Day’ that has stood out to me.

It says,

“Courage cannot erase our fear

Courage is when we face our fear”

I think this line has really hit me right now because I am currently filming the videos for the Confident ProMindset Course that I will start to release on December 7th.

As many of you know, I have a fear of getting in front of the camera. It’s a fear that has stayed with me from the very first videos I filmed for the Pronunciation Pro Course over 10 years ago.

You’d think this fear would go away by now but it hasn’t. What has changed is my ability to use courage to face the fear and do it anyways because I know that’s what’s needed for me to grow.

If you are interested in growth in your life and are afraid of what is required to grow then please know you’re not alone. Anyone who is growing is also using courage to face their own fears.

And as Benjamin Mee said in the movie “I bought a zoo”,

“You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.”

You’ve got this! Keep growing!
