I had several conversations this week with many of you. I asked about why you want to learn to speak English clearly and confidently like a native speaker.

Of course I heard a lot about being able to get a better job and earn more money. You also mentioned the desire to feel confident in yourself and wanting others to feel confident in you.

But an underlining theme seemed to be this drive and ambition to be the best. To be your very best self. Not because you have to but because you want to.

Here’s what I’ve come to understand about my students here at Pronunciation Pro.

You are ambitious.

You are not okay with being average. You are striving for excellence. You wouldn’t be here if that were not true. To achieve your highest level of English is something only the most elite strive to accomplish.

And if you start feeling discouraged or lacking confidence, remember all that you have already accomplished. Look at how far you’ve come because you reached higher and expected more of yourself.

That ambition is both a blessing and a curse.

A curse because it keeps you from feeling completely satisfied, always looking for the next challenge.

A blessing because it helps you achieve the seemingly impossible.

To be ambitious means you have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable because you know that’s where amazing things happen.

Keep reaching, keep striving.

I’m excited to see where your ambition takes you!
