The English-language is the third most spoken in the world. However, knowing this doesn’t make improving English pronunciation any easier. Sometimes, improving pronunciation can seem like a never-ending challenge you’re never going to master.
Although you may never be able to pronounce like a native speaker, you can learn how to improve pronunciation score in PTE. You just need to think creatively. Let’s go!
1. Read Out Loud
Do you want to improve your English-language vocabulary and pronunciation at the same time?
Why not try reading out loud?
Although this tip should be reserved for learners with high-level language knowledge. You don’t want to simply continue making the same mistakes over and over again.
However, you can overcome this problem by listening to the audiobook while you read out loud. This allows you to check yourself at the same time.
2. Listen to the Music of the Language
Listening to your favorite English language music is also a good tip. But, this is about listening to the music behind the words in the language.
Spot the parts of the words native English speakers emphasize when they speak. There are a melody and rhythm to how people speak the language.
However, watch out for the different accents and dialects within English. The Brits have quite a twist on the English language.
3. Make a Habit of Listening to Podcasts
Have you discovered any podcasts or radio shows you enjoy listening to when you want to improve your English pronunciation?
You could listen to podcasts, such as the American English Pronunciation, which includes lessons on how to speak the language.

4. Watch and Feel Your Mouth Move
How you move your mouth influences how you pronounce the word. It may simply be moving your mouth wrong.
You can practice speaking in English in front of the mirror to watch how you say words.
You can also observe how native speakers on television or in your real life move their mouths. You can copy what other people do to master how to pronounce words.
5. Break Words Up into Sounds
Every word is made up of parts. You need to make sure you pronounce each part or “syllable” correctly.
Take a word, such as “remember”. You can divide the word into three parts. “Re-mem-ber”. By breaking up the word into smaller chunks, you may find it easy to pronounce the word altogether.
